DMOND Speaker Series #2 with Dr. Hamed Ghoddusi, Innovative Financing and Engineering Solutions



Dr. Hamed Ghoddusi  is an Assistant Professor of Finance  at the School of Business, Stevens Institute of Technology. Before joining Stevens he was a Postdoctoral Associate of Engineering System Division (ESD), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

He received his PhD in 2011 from Vienna Graduate School of Finance (VGSF). His current research is mainly focused on Energy and Resource Economics, Macro Asset Pricing, and Society-Centered Financial Innovation.

Often times we encounter projects that seem impossible to be financed. These ideas/projects could range from identifying a proper business model for a tech start-up to a very important public project. Dr. Ghoddusi has chosen a well known national environmental challenge: “Revival of Lake Urmia” to show us the effectiveness of innovative financial and engineering solutions to tackle the most challenging financing questions.

DMOND Speaker Series With Alireza Taghaboni, A Story of a Contemporary Designer



Alireza Taghaboni is an acclaimed Iranian architect, painter, and a university lecturer. His innovative designs have captured hearts and minds of people across the globe. He founded his studio called “Next Office” in 2010 with the philosophy of creating original designs, pursuing idealism while being mindful of economics, cultural, and geographical conditions of each project. Next Office believes that changing the face of our city is still possible.

In recent years, Alireza Taghaboni’s name has become synonymous with winning numerous prestigious architectural awards both on national and international levels. First prize for QCEO building design competition in 2007 and 2010, two time top prize winner of the Grand Me’mar Award in 2008, and 2010, are just a few of his accomplishments. In 2014, he received the Middle East Architect Awards. More importantly, he was selected as one of the prominent architects of 2014 at the prestigious World Architectural Festival held in Singapore. His famous rotating Sharifiha-House was also nominated as the most popular architectural design of the year by ArchDaily.

Dr. Taghaboni received his PhD in architecture from Science and Research branch of Azad University in 2007. He was ranked number one at doctorate entrance exam. He also received his Bachelors of Art and Master’s degree in architecture and urban planning from University of Gilan.

Role of Accelerators in Entrepreneurs Ecosystem in Iran Conference


On 5 May 2015, the role of accelerators in entrepreneur ecosystem in Iran was held in graduate school of management and economics at Sharif University of Technology. In this event, Ahmadreza Masrour, the Co-founder and CEO of DMOND, Freidun Kurangi, CEO of MAPS Accelerator and also Reza Naghipou Far, CEO of FANAP, giving us a short brief about their Accelerators and Iran entrepreneur ecosystem and its challenges.

DMOND Accelerator Hosts startup Grind


Last Wednesday, June 1th 2015, DMOND Accelerator was honored to host 9th Start-up Grind event. This event was held to learn from the best, network with other member of the start-up community for entrepreneurs lover.

The event was started by Ahmadreza Masrour, DMOND co-founder and CEO, presenting about history of DMOND and process of startups acceptation.

The event was continued by Alireza Jafari, one of the co-founder of Navaak, an online music streaming, presenting about their Startup.

The next speaker was Shiva Adli, the CEO of Caspian Solutions, which is providing tailored solutions for job seekers and companies seeking, sharing her experience about providing human resources for Startups in Silicon Valley.

After that, Milad Saberi had an interview with Siavash Mahmoudian, Co-founder of Breezio, a social platform for learning and teaching, talking about his young age and history of foundation of and Breezio.
